We build front loading and top loading annealing
ovens, fusing kilns, bell kilns, shuttle kilns and car kilns.
All ovens are heavily built with square tube steel and angle
iron stands and frames. Boxes are made from 16 gauge galvanized
sheet metal. Stainless steel and aluminum boxes are also available
where corrosion is an issue, such as ovens used with plaster
molds. Elements are made from durable Kanthal A1 wire.
We often build ovens with modifications to suit
our customers’ needs. There are many more configurations
than we can list here. We will be happy to discuss various
options available to you.

Fusing Kiln 12x36x60
Fusing Ovens
These fusing ovens are like upside down top
loaders — the box hinges up instead of the lid. This
configuration allows easy access to the work on a table like
surface. The interior insulation is high temperature fiber
board. This board is a great heat reflector and facilitates
rapid heating cycles. The elements are installed in quartz
tubes on the ceiling. The quartz tubes prevent element scale
falling on the work below. The boxes of these ovens are fabricated
from aluminum and all the metal around the openings is heavy
stainless steel. Levelers are standard; wheels are optional.

We designed these ovens to meet the needs of our customers who require an oven with a low overall height when open. INsulation is the same as on ourhinge door top loaders.

The doors on these ovens are hung on heavy duty
adjustable hinges and held closed by an adjustable lever action
latch. There is a replaceable tadpole gasket.

Oven Controls
There are many temperature controls and systems
available, and we will install or configure your oven for any
control you would like. We most commonly install and use Digitry
and Partlow controls. Most glass workers are familiar with
the Digitries. We have used Partlows for 20 years and have
found them to be reliable and easy to use as well. Partlow
also has excellent customer support and warranty backup.
